The Cordillera Blanca is located 408 kilometers northeast of Lima, in the center of the area tropical, extending from south to north, about 180 km long and covered by extensive glaciers, being the highest mountain range in the Peruvian Andes and the tropics around the world. It has more than 35 snow-capped peaks that exceed 6,000 meters in height.

ALPAMAYO It is the jewel of the Cordillera Blanca in Peru. Since it was first climbed in 1951, climbers have flocked to attempt its grooved southwest face. Many climbers consider this peak to be the culmination of their early mountaineering careers. It has often been called "the most beautiful mountain in the world" by climbers, magazines and hikers. it was the recognition obtained in a photography competition in Munich, Germany in 1966. Since then Alpamayo has epresented the goal of many climbers in the world, the perfect pyramid that fascinates. It is a climb up a channel of approximately 450 meters of wall, which leads to the top with slopes of 55 – 60 - 80 degrees. Good acclimatization and experience is requiredProgramma ( 16 )
