Itinerary
Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm in German) is one of the largest and most breathtaking alpine meadows in Europe. Nestled in the heart of the Dolomites, within Val Gardena and the Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park, it’s a truly unforgettable destination.
Located in South Tyrol, on the southern edge of the Dolomites, Alpe di Siusi is a haven for nature lovers, hikers, and anyone who enjoys the outdoors.
This high-altitude plateau sits between 1,700 to 2,000 meters / 5,577' to 6,562' and offers sweeping views of rolling green pastures, conifer forests, tiny alpine lakes, and the surrounding peaks — including the dramatic Sciliar and Catinaccio massifs, which provide an extraordinary and ever-changing backdrop depending on the season and weather.
In spring and summer, the meadows are blanketed in lush green and dotted with colorful wildflowers. In autumn, the forest foliage turns warm and fiery, putting on a spectacular natural show.
The expansive views, fresh mountain air, and peaceful atmosphere make Alpe di Siusi the ideal setting for a relaxing and rejuvenating hike in the Dolomites.
To top it off, you’ll enjoy a delicious two-course lunch at a welcoming rifugio with views of the surrounding mountains, featuring traditional South Tyrolean cuisine.
