Itinerary

The Great Elba Tour is a delightful trek spanning from the east to the west of the island, covering 50km / 31 miles along its prominent ridges. Starting from the town of Cavo, just a short distance from sea level, the trek climbs to the island's highest peak, Monte Capanne, at 1019m / 3343'. Along the way, you'll traverse the island's mountainous spine, reaching the charming western village of Pomonte. This journey offers a mix of coastal, hill, and mountain landscapes, treating you to stunning views and opportunities for refreshing swims in the clear waters. The tour comprises four full-day excursions, each lasting between 6 to 8 hours, offering a seamless experience without technical difficulties, making it ideal for any explorer eager to immerse themselves in Elba's natural beauty. The Great Elba Trekking Tour takes place on paths, forest roads, and paved roads, covering 14-18km / 8,7-11,1 miles per day. There aren't any rest stops or refreshment points along the way, so participants will need to carry their own water bottles or hydration bladder and a backpack for their packed lunches (sandwiches, snacks, etc.).
