Itinerary

There are some easy climbing sections and some rappelling. The differences in height are not excessive, but the roughness of the terrain and the orientation difficulties mean that the stages are never short.
In any case, it is a demanding route that presents mountaineering difficulties that can be overcome even by those who have never climbed, only if accompanied by an Alpine Guide. The orientation problems combined with the technical difficulties certainly make it the most demanding hiking route in Italy.
It was conceived in the 1980s by two Italian mountaineers, Mario Verin and Peppino Cicalò who first, fascinated by the wild beauty of this stretch of coast, laboriously covered stretches of shepherds’ paths and stretches of ancient mule drivers of the charcoal burners from the end of the 19th century, combining them with paths that were searched and discovered with difficulty between the limestones and the vegetation of the supramonte.
The result is an itinerary suspended on the extreme edge of a vertical cliff, fifty kilometers long, which between Cale and mule tracks starting from Pedra Longa reaches Cala Sisine.
Thanks to the support of a local agency, we will have the opportunity to walk with light backpacks, to enjoy the delicacies of the place every evening and to fully enjoy this pearl of paradise which is the Selvaggio Blu.
We will also visit the last two remaining and still-functioning shepherd's huts along the entire coast, where the stories of the shepherds and their products will make the experience even more authentic and unique.
